Welcome to SĀFTY!

Here at Supportive Allies For Trans Youth we believe everyone should be their true selves. We know that process is often a confusing road of self discovery, and that it can be a transition not just for the individual, but for their family as well.

We strive to offer a safe and nurturing environment to support questioning and transgender youth and their families through this process. For teenagers and young adults who do not have family support, we provide free therapy and other services. We also offer informative resources and trustworthy information for all families seeking more understanding.

When transgender youth are allowed to use their preferred names and pronouns,
their rates of depression and suicide

drop 71%

S.D. - SAFTY CLIENT

“I struggled through the process of finding my gender identity and then later becoming comfortable as identifying as transgender, because I did not have a support system outside of my friends. Then SĀFTY helped me...”

Dr. Maurice Garcia - Director of the Cedars-Sinai Transgender Surgery and Health Program

“I believe it is very, very important that kids, adolescents and adults (and their families!) have a place to go where they can learn about what healthcare services exist, for help with questions about their gender identity, and to learn about what services exist to help people with their gender transition.”

This Transgender Day of Visibility, let’s celebrate all those who need our love and support.
